I happened to see these wonderful ladies on tv recently and it was amazing. All those old photos in combination with the candid interviews. I can't get over the weird Swedish title though: "Homosexuella eleganter i New York" - ??!
Is that anything like the Icelandic title (if there is one)?
I don't understand why they would choose to name it so, it didn't reflect what the film was about at all, imo.

Anyway, what a story!

Wasn't it just? Everyone I know who have seen it have been in awe. No wonder they have received so many awards for it.

I don't think they ever gave it an Icelandic title. It was shown here at a film festival and they just used the English one if I recall correctly. But the Swedish one does sound strange.
