Many people are not aware the early United States invaded Canada during both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.

But even fewer people know that the U.S. had a military contingency plan on file from the mid-1920s to 1939 involving invading Canada. It was known as 'War Plan Red', and has since been declassified. [more info]
