So in my continuing series of reviews, I thought I'd tackle Bioshock, the anti-Ayn-Rand video game.

The short review: brilliant. I mean, I would've played anything that allows me throw lightning bolts and bees at well-dressed Objectivists. But it also had a brilliant story, and (dare I say it for a game?) cinematography. It has a very Orson ( Read more... )

Yes, the anti-Objectivist spin in the game is what makes it so wonderful. ^_^ There is a SF trilogy somewhere that is basically a distopic future where humanity has gone down the road of Objectivism - I heard it's quite good, but I totally forgot what it's called or who wrote it. ^^; Will have to hunt it down.

I developed a few "profanities" around Objectivism as a kid (since it pissed off my father). Rand-dammit was the best and Ayn H. Rand on Welfare came in second (based off my father's screaming of "Jesus H. Christ on a crutch"). :P
