Apparently, the loss of cocoons doesn’t mean the end of new arrivals. I came across a newborn today, out in the park. He’d simply appeared without a cocoon; he’s been here before, but he was still rather disoriented.

So. Guards and Greeters--until further notice, our duties will be similar to what they were when visitors appeared last month.

Was he naked like a cocoon birth, or just clueless?

That's a fair guess, yeah.

Totally naked. No goo, though, although I'm not sure he thought the tradeoff was worth it.

And the bed just...collapsed on him.

When did you arrive? There have been a few returns recently, all from cocoons.

I don't have the records with me, or I could check for you. Either way, though, I know there were births after both of those dates.

It looks like that way, yes.

We'll manage. It won't be much different from last month.

We are coordinating with the Adventurers in this? I am aware that they are primarily concerned with the Wilderness, yet they do still act in the more populated areas.

I'll ask them to keep an eye out for people who might appear in the Wilderness, but there should be enough of us to cover the first two floors.

I hope so much. I dislike this development. The controlled environment of a normal birth is unsettling enough.

But, I know, we do not have say in what we must work with.

True enough. We'll make it as easy on them as we can, just as we always have.
