As Stoneface has said, the Wilderness is rather dangerous right now. From reports, it sounds like a place we've seen before, about a year and a half ago ( Read more... )

I couldn't even begin to tell you.

Are you going to go there? [ Read: do I need to stalk you? ]

Most likely.

This happened for the first time right after I got here; I have to admit that I AM curious, in spite of the dangers.

I don't expect everyone to avoid the place--just to take care if you choose to go down there.

I will. Part of me doesn't really want to bother to take the risk, though, as curious as I am.

Susceptible?

Very well, I'll be careful. Thank you, Bastet.

Very much so. I can't stress that enough.

[Well. Good to know somebody knows what's going on, and Bastet has answered a good many of the questions Gene had wanted to ask Stoneface. It unnerves him a bit to be singled out like this, but better to know this sort of thing than not.]

Extremely susceptible? As in simply weaker to its effects or more prone to come across something that would trigger it?

When the symptoms have started, it's possible to get out if the it's still mild, right? I remembered that Stoneface said to leave if you started feeling ill.

((ooc: Man, am I glad you made this post since I could absolutely NOT remember if Gene had heard about the mass Gundam-info death or if that had simply been an IC!secrets thing. /hooray for not crossing wires))

As in somehow, magically prone to getting into bad situations and then unable or seemingly unwilling to get out of them in time.

It is possible. I managed it myself. [Almost dying doesn't quite count as "mild," but hey.]

(ooc: Ahaha. Always here to help, bb. XD)

...That's some shite luck if I've ever heard of any. [Note to self: bring someone from another world if investigating the place like previously planned.]

That's good to hear, at least.

That's an understatement. I can go into more detail in person, if you like.

Doubles? I do not suppose, my dear lady, you know how this is possible?

Reply

felinemystique June 6 2010, 20:56:57 UTC
I'm afraid I have no idea. But they were as surprised as we were, despite also being trapped in a place where the strange is commonplace.

So they are surprised, and we are surprised.

They are trapped, and we are trapped.

But they, they have memories, yes? So are they simply the lucky ones, or do we have something they do not?

Somehow, I doubt that any one of us has the answer to that. Perhaps some comparing of experiences between our two worlds is in order.
