Er. Well, yeah, but there's more to it, too. See, Jesus isn't just a King, but the son of God. And he goes on to die to help clean everyone's sins away and all.

So they were giving a gift to a king, to God, and to honour the sacrifice he was going to make for everyone, everywhere.
