One of those shuffle memes, I presume? They seem like a lot of fun, but I never do them myself because 1) my listening habits are embarrassingly lame, and 2) any good music I do have probably came from my flist anyway. XD;

Some aspects in certain circumstances. But I'm not fundamentally a bright-eyed bushy-tailed "here comes the sun" type :p

I know what you mean. *g* I'm more of an Autumn (Adagio molto) or Winter (Largo) kind of guy, myself.

Chumbawamba - Tubthumping

The perfect motto no matter which you choose. XD

Katrina and the Waves - Walking On Sunshine

This song always makes me think of High Fidelity and Jack Black's character exploding into self-righteous indignation over musical tastes aha.

What song will be the subject when you repost?

I think I'm brain-dead today, but what's to repost? Oh, unless you're supposed to post your list as a comment in the originating entry first. <-- Yep, brain-dead.

Most of my music is there for nostalgic reasons - or because the compilation CD was in the bargain bin :p

Jack Black's character exploding into self-righteous indignation over musical tastes

There's bad music, and there's music that is so bad it's almost good (or fluffily hummable, anyway) XD

I still haven't figured out that last one - but what the hey, it's great for a listen no matter what the reason ^^

Actually, he was totally cool with the song--he put it on his "special Monday morning tape." The indignation came later when he said the next track was "Little Latin Lupe Lu," and his co-worker dared to say that he preferred Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels' version to the Righteous Brothers'. XD

I still haven't figured out that last one - but what the hey, it's great for a listen no matter what the reason ^^

Very true. *g*

aha, I see. It's that kind of song that one either likes (the trippily infectious beat at the start gets me every time) or doesn't, I suppose - but I never heard anyone say it was great art ^_~
It is the perfect Monday morning song, though XD

Tubthumping would be an awesome theme song, never mind motto. :D

took some of the songs, thanks! i thought the last question meant "what would be the subject of your next lj post", but looking at it again, perhaps they just meant "what song will you put in the subject line when you repost this meme". *shrug*

Where else would one get a football anthem named after politicians, with mentions of Danny Boy, four-letter words, and a quote from Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary (aka The Prince of Denmark's March)

You're welcome ^^

I thought it would be the latter as well, but it seemed too random. Though I did toy with the idea of dissecting that particular track in a separate post, which would probably bore readers out of their skulls (that, and the fact that I have no clue how to post fragments of tracks).
