I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your kitty. And the loss of your dad - I still feel the loss of my mom, more than 2 years later. It does bring a melancholy to the season. But yes, there is still joy to be found, if we try. :)
Thank you. Losing Bunqui has hit me harder than I anticipated, and, well, there's no not missing Daddy. (I've still got a message on the answering machine from him from a few Christmases back that I listen to from time to time.)
We had pretty clear sailing to Ohio. The snow didn't hit us until the day after Christmas. If there hadn't been a further threat of snow, we might have stayed an extra day, but we didn't want to get stuck.

Oh, my dear, I'm so sorry to hear about Bunqui. She was such a loveable, loving cat--I so enjoyed her friendly nature the times I've visited you.

I still, upon occasion, see her out of the corner of my eye, but it's a pair of shoes under the table or a sweater on the bed.
I've even dreamed about her, and in the dream, I know I'm dreaming.
