No, no snow yet. Usually the area I live in doesn't get a massive amount of snow. Last year was quite the exception.
But I'm ready for some snow. The dry cold is rather bitter, and I'm ready for it to start looking like Christmas. We're well into December, after all. They're predicting snow for this coming Monday, so I'm hoping they're right and that it will stick around.
I don't really want a snowpocalypse like we had last year, though.
Snow on Monday! Say it ain't so! In this area they're calling for rain all day Sunday, but that's all I've heard. Snow is fine, if that's all it is. But just say NO to Snowpocalypse!
Surely there is a reverse Snow Dance that can be done here!
One of the best things about these new cameras is that they're SO good in low light situations. With an old-school camera, you'd never be able to capture the delicate colors without a lot of fussing - and those "perfect" moments during a sunrise or sunset go by so quickly.
One of my favorite features is the delete function for pics that come out bad. I think one of the reasons I never got into photography was because it was so expensive to have to by film and flash cubes (and later, film and batteries) on my allowance, ya know? Had there been digital cameras when I was snapping pictures in school, things might have been different.
Geo got me a CoolPix S4000 (in plum). It's extremely intuitive (which is good for me), but I still need to print out the user's manual and figure out the fancy-dancy features. In the meantime, it's taking pretty good pics without my knowledge.
