Re: wadded up in Crowley's pocket . . . this brings to mind the Jack-o'-lantern legend. Which I now want to call Sam-o'-lantern.
Actually, it brings to my mind a fantast novel (author escapes me at the moment) called "The Talisman ring" where a sorcerer captures the soul of an unbaptized infant and locks it in the stone of a ring to work dark magic.

Say, anyone notice if Crowley was wearing a ring? Or cufflinks?
Though maybe that doesn't count since John and Gomez didn't get to hang but so much.... Hmmm Maybe I need to write a missing scene from that fic where they DO get to have an adventure of sorts.

I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of the weekend I spent babysitting for the Addams kids. Did I ever share that story with you? It could, quite logically, be considered my first fic, back when I didn't even know what fic was. It was a college English assignment, actually.
