TSFF: On Staying Present

Feb 25, 2010 18:10

I was feeling a little nostalgic today (wishing words would come so I could put an idea or two on the blank screen), and this fic came to mind. For those who knew me in my TS days, you might recognize this. I never archived it because it never felt quite finished. But I thought I'd share.

I remember this! And I still think it's good--especially Jim's dream, shuttling from one situation to another. Very effective. :)

I'd never read it until tonight and wow it was awesome. So much of Jim's life of trauma packed into one story. No one he has nightmares. Great job of putting this into words that paint a vivid picture.

Welcome! And thanks so much for the comment.

Now that I think about this, I'm not sure I even posted this to CascadeTimes back in the day. It never felt like it was ready to take the public stage. :-)

I'm delighted you enjoyed it. Creating pictures with words is such fun (when the words aren't being stubborn). Thanks again!

I liked this and hadn't seen it before. Nice shifting between dreams. Poor guy sure has been through the wringer emotionally!
