Groundhog's Day

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today. And with good reason: the sun was out and it is warm.

This morning Geo called me to our bay window. There were robins . . . all over the yard. At least half a dozen.

Then I looked out the back window and there were more.

It was . . . very strange.

And now, at 7:20, Geo says (as he came in from work) that it's raining and the temp is dropping. I'm thinking icy roads and maybe no work tomorrow.

Nooooo. Why did he have to see his shadow? So sad.

It was grey and snowy all day here. The groundhog here would have not seen a thing besides snowflakes.

Yes, we're in for another six weeks of winter. Of course, the spring equinox is March 20, which is about six weeks away. So I think the whole thing is a little suspect. :-)

I know! I did indeed have visions of a Hitchcock movie as I watched them in the yard. Heh.

Oh, and hey, the DVD came today. It made really good time getting down here. And it looked good and played on the player(s) I needed it to play on, so it's all good. Thanks again!
