Oh, it's absolutely heartbreaking Spike's POV. Especially this part, for some reason: Wanted to pitch in for the funeral. Turned out the Wankers Council got the whole package covered. Right generous of them.

Yeah, poor Spike was feeling useless when he desperately wanted to do *something* to help.

Excellent, but then that's a given since it's your work. Very moving with the right touch of angry distance that is so very Spike.

Aww, thanks, Gabrielle! The show conveniently skipped the whole mourning period, but I just think Spike must've been completely heart-broken after Buffy's death, especially at the beginning.
