This was a needed respite after the incredible tension of the last few chapters. I'm sure it will be short-lived, but for the moment... whew.

Heh. I tinkered all night with it to try to make it shorter, or faster-paced, but still ended up with the same word count. *headdesk* Now that I know where I'm going with this story, though, I hope to have some semblance of plot going forward... (That sounds familiar. Have I been saying that a lot? :P)
