Oh wow! Oh my gosh! You really ratcheted up the drama here and I'm shaking! Bravissima! I am so impressed!

Thanks! You don't know how relieved I am to hear that. I was worried that the pacing was too slow. :)

No, I think it's just right! A story has to build believably - you can't just throw things out there willy-nilly - and you've made things happen exactly when they should.

You leave off THERE? Oh goddess you're sadistic, Felicia! You won't keep us waiting for the next installment I hope?

Heh. The cliffhanger was totally unintended. The chapter I wrote initially contained the previous chapter, this one, and the next. Both of my beta readers thought ~14,000 words were too much to post as a single chapter, and I took the suggestion to break it into 3 chapters, instead.

I'm forever tinkering with what is supposed to be the final draft (not unlike you with the alternate versions), but since I have it written already I should be posting the next chapter in a week or so. Thanks for reading! :)

“Mortal children who dared summon a god!” boomed an unfamiliar voice from Willow’s lips, dripping with contempt. Her pose relaxed, and she emitted a low rumbling laugh that shook the ground. And damned if that wasn’t a scary sound!

Willow’s lips curled up into a cruel imitation of a smile. Not-her-voice continued, pausing between each word, “So insignificant. Asking so much, with so little to give in return. Shall I grant your request and name my price?”

That is just CHILLING, Felicia, even before she cuts herself with the knife *shivers*

Thank you! :)

Soon, we're going to find out some of the ramifications of Willow's spell gone wrong!

Whoa, that was intense! Yeah, a spell to raise the dead definitely costs a hell of a lot more than some wussy little fawn...

Thanks! I wanted to recreate the chaos and confusion of the resurrection spell without the Hellions. They were all in way over their heads...

So, different god... different Buffy?)
And what RSD said about evil cliffhangers :P

Yup, different Buffy. Same Buffy is much too depressed, and for way too long, to be fun.

Sorry about the evil cliffhanger. The next chapter will be coming soon. Thanks for reading! :)
