You Will Lose All The Rights To Your Own Art

Fascinating day and age we live in.

In other news, Pop is back home from Sudan safe and sound.

Hehe

I've heard it's both serious and non-existent from opposing sides, so I dunno what to really think yet XD;

Yussssssss, though that means back to strict pointless rules D:

I've seen some posts that say it's nothing and that it's old, but I have some illustrator friends in the business who are saying otherwise xD

I received the link from the Animation Dep't Chair, but then I also received one claiming the former to be an overreaction.

Soooo I'll be forming my other opinion after some more reading XD;

Yeah, though I really don't think we would just sit by idly if this were to pass as legislation.

I didn't get it. *Read it like fifty times* Why and how is it legal to lose the rights to your art again?

Also, I'm glad your dad is home despite the pointless rules and being treated like a little kid again. \o/!

Oh it's still illegal, but there are apparently some who would rather see that not be the case.

It would basically be like working for Pixar or Disney...you come up with something creative, they swipe what they like and use without proper credit (if at all). Only the supposed goal in this deal is to have that be the case for anything creative that hasn't been registered.

I don't know what sane person NOT in the pocket of any of the major animation companies *COUGH*DISNEY*COUGH* would think this was a good idea.

Yes :D

I don't even know anymore. Though the more I think about it in my groggy state, the less likely I see this being the case; creative minds everywhere would make 'going postal' seem like a pleasant walk through a park.

P.S. Is that a Daaannnte on a Veerrrgil?
