i found out how it works.. so you can impress your prof. all the two-digit numbers starting with "1" . . . like 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 ... the total is "9" alwayss... ex: 1+0 = 1 ... 10-1 = 9 ... 1 + 1 = 2... 11-2 = 9.. and so on...
all the two-digit nubmers starting with "2" ... like 21, 22, etc... are always 18... ex: 2+0= 2... 20-2 = 18 ... 2+1 = 3... 21-3 = 18.. etc...
and all two-digit numbers starting with "3".. like 31, 32, etc... are always 27
so it goes by intervals of 9...
9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63 ... and so on are all the same picture.. :)

Well, I was playing it for how long today..
trying to come up with a plausible explanation.
It has something to do with a pattern, coz some of them have the same picture
Hopefully my prof explains how it works to us!
