Just read that Jamie was cast in a new movie called Donnybrook. The movie is described as a backwoods version of “Fight Club meets True Romance” as it follows two men who try to get to the Donnybrook, a legendary backcountry bare-knuckle brawl where the winner gets $100,000. I love channing and he's less problematic than many in Hollywood but leaving TWC now doesn't mean much. It's a business on its way down which is the only reason HW was brought down.

Well, Weinstein Co. has the book right, so CT and his business partner can't continue with the project anyway. But I still think it is a good gesture from a Hollywood actor with nationwide name recognition. Most of the Hollywood men are only doing the talk right now, they have not taken an action except for Kevin Smith, who says he will be donating future Harvey Weinstein residuals to women in film.

Hmmm.... Yes, good move. But at the same time, the movie was not going to be produced by the Weinstein company anyway. I think all the projects with their company are on hold. It's not to be cynical, but yeah, what can he do now anyway. He is right though, that it would be weird to have a story about sexual violence related to HW.

He has plenty of other projects in his pockets. I hope that Gambit happens and that it is a success. It seems so important to him.

As for Jamie, I'm very happy for him that he is working regularly, but this new project doesn't sound that inovative. As usual, I'm looking forward to the project that will showcase his talent as he deserves. It is sometimes a matter of luck. Look at Michael Fasebender. Revered by the critic, offered many proeminent projects, and yet, plenty of them didn't turn out well. How can one know ?

Speaking of Fassbender, he and his now wife Alicia Vikander are very silent about Harvey Weinstein, although they both worked with him several times. And there are rumors the whole romance and now marriage of the two are just for PR. We shall see ( ... )
