Firstly, Kingsman: The Golden Circle release date moves up one week. Now we can see it on Sep. 29th. Some say the move is to avoid direct competition with the new Blade Runner movie with Harrison Ford / Ryan Goslin. Does Fox have confidence in this movie at all? The date have been changed twice by now. Hope a trailer will be coming soon

This is a really interesting comment. It's true that access to a variety of movies mirroring a variety of realties from one's national/ethnic background can have an incidence to what you are willing to watch.

That said, in the case of that movie, I wonder if those who complain they are not a bit intolerant. It is not a "whitewashing" of a true story. Why different people could not be in South America ?

We will see how it unfolds.

I notice, that several films, nowadays, are generating controversy during their making for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, they are very good reasons, other times, it seems to me, some individuals are just looking for a fight.

I am not sure if you read the news of Samuel Jackson questioning why the director (an African American) cast a British Black actor to play the lead role in Get Out. He thought it was more appropriate to cast an African-American to play such a role. I thought it was unfair to that British actor, he was pretty good. Get Out is a very sussessful horror movie told from a race angle. Both the critics and audience like it. It has already crossed the 100M mark at the North American market.

Yeah, I thought it was very mean-spirited. But I think it is a very wide-spread mentality in Hollywood. They are very protectionist regarding American v. Foreign actors. S.L. Jackson is not the first actor who has a strong reaction like that. I remember Robert Duvall being very vocal about it.
It is a bit difficult to understand for non-Americans.
