The night before Oscar, Channing was at Weinstein Company’s Oscar pre-party. Here is one tweet from THR's Scott Feinberg.

The possum thing is intriguing. Hmmm....

I have noticed too how athletic this actor is. It is too bad that his action movies have been dismissed quickly (because of scripts). They have an amazing performer who gives a lot physically to the movie.

He is also very smart in his contacts. It's great if he has a link with the Weinstein Company.
I enjoy how he tries a variety of things. What an interesting actor to follow.

Some people really have deep prejudice against CT. I guess they probably have not watched him in Foxcatcher. For example, check the tags of this post.

I noticed actually through Jupiter Ascending, the Tumblr crowd started to look at CT in another way. In the past, most them enjoy mocking him for no reason.

Ah! But I see that a lot of the put-downs in the tags are expressed as reluctant appreciation. This is progress, I suppose.

He also came out of the JA (mis)adventure unscathed, all that while wearing elf ears. Whether people want to acknowledge it or not, he has gained respsect.

I can't wait to see what he has to do in the Coens and Tarentino films.

While the media may have a prejudice against him, I get the feeling he's very well respected by his peers and hollywood directors and producers.

I get the impression that usually it is those ones who are low in the Entertainment Industry pyramid like to mock him. But his costars, coworkers always say good things about Channing. Even those who have not worked with him in movies expressed respect for him, such as Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Pattinson and recently Chris Pine.

Daniel Radcliffe ? (what did he say ?)

I agree with both of you for the rest. He seemed to have earned respect in the industry for his hard work and good heart.
