I didn't see this movie coming. A nice surprise. I hope they have scenes together.

Law and Tatum, hell yes!

I think a lot of people don’t think Tatum is a good actor. A friend of mine still thinks he’s just a blockhead-even after she’d seen The Eagle and admitted he was good in the role. I think because of his filmography and background, people are more willing to typecast him than directors are.

When one starts at a low point, one has more space to grow. I enjoy watching Channing trying different roles.

I wish Chan took a break from those sappy romantic stories, it really doesn't suit him. I'm glad he's starring in a comedy this year, I loved him in She's The Man :)

Also, anyone doubting his acting abilities should see A Guide - he just needs a director who knows what he's doing and what he needs :)

Well, actors need to do well in box office to win the freedom to make movies they really want to make in the future, as long as he is not typecast. And Channing is trying different things, so I am not too worried about it. He just needs a good director to bring the best out of him. I am more interested in another project of his - Foxcatcher. That movie will be directed by Moneyball's director Bennett Miller. Miller seems to be the kind of director who nurtures actors. Wish him good luck.

Ha, I just read Channing's new Details interview. He addressed why he did movies like Dear John or The Vow.

"You gotta do the Dear Johns," Tatum says."You gotta do The Vow."

"I'm conscious about why I did those parts, those movies," Tatum says after jokingly apologizing for my having had to watch them. He says he took the roles for the sake of his education, which is, of course, an industry trope. But it's one he delivers with such sincerity that it's impossible not to absolutely take him at his word. "I wanted to learn from Rachel on The Vow," he says. "I wanted to learn from Lasse Hallström on Dear John-he did The Cider House Rules and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I didn't go to acting school, so my knowledge of story, filmmaking, and character comes from just being on set and doing it." We have another Knob Creek moment, merging onto the Hollywood Freeway, heading for Burbank. "I know I'm not the best actor," he says. "But I hope my characters are getting better."
