syrosis  pointed out to me the Australian Merlin S2 DVD is rated M for voilence. And I notice the S1 DVD is rated PG.

However, really? R? That seems a bit harsh. I'd say PG-13 at most. Of course, in the States, R means a lot more than poisoning a friend or falling from a tower. Jeez, even Castle on tv shows blood everywhere and dead people hanging from things.

Animal cruelty? Really? They do realize that the dragon isn't real, don't they?

I did a little research, in Australia M means "Recommended for mature audiences. M content may only be broadcast between 8:30 pm and 5:00 am on any day, and additionally between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm on school days."

ah really? a M? I would have sworn it would have only been rated PG, I mean I'm pretty sure it was only rated PG when they showed it on TV? But then I never really noticed..
