Merlin S2 Spoilers Mega Post Pt. 2 - Supporting Characters / Guest Stars

Lancelot (played by Santiago Cabrera)
Santiago was seen in Pierrefonds, France in May.
Santiago was seen in chainmail in Caerphilly Castle, Wales in May.
According to Angel, she filmed a scene where Lancelot and Gwen were running away from some people. One S2 photo shows Lancelot and Gwen were captured and tied together back to back. Gwen was in the dress she borrowed from Morgana.
Cedric (played by Mackenzie Crook, appears in S2E01)
A "creepy" character determined to become Arthur's right-hand man.
Creepy Cedric, who is out to undermine Merlin in Prince Arthur's court.
A BBC source said: "Mackenzie is a great addition to the cast and fans will be unsure whether he is a goody or baddy. Only time will tell.
Cedric appears in the first episode of season 2 as "an intriguing small-time crook" who's determined to supplant Merlin as Arthur's right-hand man. (from Johnny Capps via SFX)
Some onset photos show Cedirc approaching Arthur and Merlin in Camelot. At some point, Arthur and Merlin were on the ground.
Other onset photos show, during a break, a scarfaced Merlin chatting with Arthur, with Cedric a few steps away.
Next, Mackenzie Crook will play Russell Harty in a forthcoming biopic.
Lady Catrina (played by Sarah Parish)
According to the actress herself, her character is "a nasty troll who turns herself into a glamorous lady of the court and seduces the head of Camelot. She marries him and takes over Camelot."
A stunningly beautiful woman who has eyes for Uther, but isn't quite what she seems.
Uther and Lady Catrina were seen on the horses.
Fans witnessed hugging and kissing scenes between Uther and Lady Catrina
From set report, we know that Arthur doesn't like his father's lady friend, and he shared this with Merlin.
Having wrapped up with Merlin, Sarah Parish is currently filming The Pillars of the Earth (as as Regan Hamleigh) in Hungary and Austria.
Aredian (played by Charles Dance)
A sinister witchfinder.

Aredian was seen dressed like a bounty hunter. He carried a chain-like object.
According to Richard Wilson, "He's (Gaius) got a very nasty beginning in this series, this evil magician played by Charles Dance comes on the scene and tricks Uther into thinking that I've been practising magic -- so I nearly end up being burnt at the stake."

Dance's next role will be Sky1's Going Postal (as Lord Vetinari).
Myro (played by Adrian Lester)
Devious.
Mordred (played by Asa Butterfield?)
According to Merlin co-producer Johhny Capps, Mordred will be back.
The audience will be surprised about how we meet Mordred, a character we last saw as a young druid boy in The Beginning of The End. Could he return as an adult? Whatever happens, it seems unlikely we'll get the line "This is not the druid you're looking for"... (from Johnny Capps via SFX)
Morgause (played by Emilia Fox)
When Arthur first met her in the tournament, he was not aware(?) that it was a woman behind the helmet. Later a farewell scene was filmed between Arthur and her. She seemed a little sad.
Emilia Fox plays an enchantress or something - after our interview she was planning on learning the words of some spells for filming the next day.
Forridel (played by Beth Cordingly)
Not much is known about this Forridel character. But at least we know she is a character who has a name on the show.
Nimueh
We killed Nimueh so definitively that we'd have to come up with a very ingenious way of bringing her back! (from Johnny Capps via SFX)
