And in my country this qestion is known in "kiss/marry/shag" or "kiss/marry/throw off the cliff" form, and in the interview they most certainly said neither "shag" nor "throw off the cliff", so yeah, I was a bit confused while trying to understand this. :P

No problem and indeed, the Merlin cast is the best cast on Earth! \o/ :D

But what does "throw off the cliff" mean in this context?

It doesn't have some metaphorical meaning or sth. :D It's just a fun - when asking this question, they force you to choose between some hotties, you need to decide who is the best person to marry or just kiss/shag, and there always have to be one loser (the one who is meant to be thrown off the cliff ;), and you have to explain why you'd chosen the way you did. You know, it's just a meme. :)
