So the producers do intend to force Arthur/Gwen

Australia's Channel TEN just put up three clips of an interview with one of Merlin's producers - Johnny Capps. If you're in Australia or you use a proxy server, you can watch the video here. Warning: Arhur/Gwen fans, you may not want to continue to read some of the comments in this post.

And before anyone reading this thinks I'm some sort of "gay activist" then I have to say that I'm anything but, I'm a twice married (to men!) very very STRAIGHT woman/mother to a 2 year old. I'm just a) not homophobic b) able to appreciate hot chemistry between two people (of any gender) when I see it(and probably a bit of a slashwhore lolz . . .)

Arthur and Guinevere being married is one of the main elements of the legends so with all the liberties that have been taken with "Merlin", I always expected A/G to happen in the show in one way or the other. How and when it will happen, none of us knows, so I don't know why people get their knickers in a twist about it frankly. I do ship M/A but I never expected it to become canon in the show and that's fine - I'm quite happy with all the wonderful fic that people are producing.

Also, for the record, and I know this is an unpopular opinion - I think Angel is gorgeous and a good actress, and from what little interaction there has been between Arthur and Guinevere I personally would not want to make a judgement (yet) on whether there is chemistry or not.

People are different. Everyone is entitled to have his or her opinion, regardless of popularity. This is a discussion thread, it's for people to express themselves.

Looked to me like Gwen had a crush on Arthur when she first met Merlin, but was fighting it by saying he's a bully. Once Arthur stopped being a bully it would have been harder to fight.

This is interesting. It's a new way to look at Gwen's feeling towards Arthur.
