My body recoils at the idea of more coffee, but i can't stay awake. I'm hitting a wall and I can't be. I just need my brain and body to work for a few more hours, but it's not happening.

On a better note, I'm volunteering at In Other Words, Portland's one and only feminist book store and community space. Come visit me on shift this summer!

uhhh jade you're going have to recommend me a million books now! I'm so interested in feminism + race + culture these days but I only read blogs because I'm not sure where to start with books and I know it's going to be overwhelming. sounds like an awesome job.

So I wrote like a huge rant in here, but then I thought maybe that would be more suitable for conversation.. haaaa...

Thanks for the recommendations! I'm excited to check them out. I guess I read Racialicious most consistently because they're really good about getting guest bloggers who have all sorts of backgrounds and know what they're talking about. And then I follow links and read whatever's new/popular on anyone else's blog.

I really can't wait to get to school and start taking some classes on all this, because I feel like I have no time working all week and I want to talk to people!

Oh, I guess I didn't mention feminist sites, and I mostly read jezebel (which, yeah, is more general and can be pretty silly but I love it and the politics editor knows her shit), and feministing and, again, follow links around.
