it's full moon, and the first of 2022 is quite striking:
if lucky, you'll see a double moonbow, with the colours of the rainbow encircling the moon's disc - twice!
(this depends upon there being lots of tiny ice crystals in the earth's atmosphere above you, when you're gazing up at it)

it's also obligatory that everyone goes

- but we used at least to know what phase of the moon it was, pretty reliably -

- though nowhere near as dependably, when moonrise might be. . .
