''i aten't dead'' - leastways, not yet. . .feetnotesJuly 15 2019, 06:20:14 UTC
- hi;
- facebook seem to've provisionally decided (- or, been told ? -) that i don't exist, and cut me off from fb until and unless i provide them with copies (scans(?)) as attachments of three paper proofs i do, of things i mostly don't have, not being merkin (and some things no longer being sent on paper, only viewable online), and don't know how to send as attachments, not having a scanner, even if i had the official bits of paper.
and apparently i amn't allowed to not have a mobile phone, so i may have to buy a new one - if i can work out how to satisfy their requirements for attachments of things i mostly don't have, or not on paper, anyway.
- and there doesn't appear to be the option of emailing (nor landlinetelephoning) a real live fbperson.
- so i may be away from fb for a little while - or possibly, permanently. i don't know.

Martin O'Nions is going to try and get on Facebook later and establish whether there's anything he can do to help; I'll do anything I can.
If there is an answer I'm pretty sure that Andrea or Kim can find it, but if the problem is that FB wants you to use your real name and you don't want to do that then probably a lot of us are on LJ anyway. (I always preferred it, really)
Your phone seems to be refusing messages and it has people a bit worried. (My mobiles die because I don't use them enough - haven't managed to keep one alive yet. Has that happened to yours?) Can I pass on news and messages for you? I don't think Kim and Andrea ever deleted their blogs and they are very internet savvy, so I'm sure they will have ideas. I wonder how many of the others are on LJ or Dreamwidth? (Maybe you could scan and send proof to Facebook from the library?)
and it's the 0781-344-xxxx number, i've not had that since it disappeared a couple of christmice back, suspected (= strongly, but not definitely known) to've been thrown away as rubbish in chapeltown by an inebriated guest...
and it's the more recent one, that may come to light this week (hasn't been seen for maybe two months, but is (suspected of being) in the pit somewhere, but it won't really help provide yr hmbl srppnt. with official paperwork i don't possess, since most things went paperless.
and my landline phone (015395-xxxxx) doesn't understand text messages: i thought this was normal, but there may be a new normal, upon a plane normal to the old normal. . .
