''is this thing on?''

(everyone seemed to abandon lj when tsar vlad-the-impaler poutine I of all the russias imposed not merely censorship upon it, but made its by-then russian owners criminally liable for any posts it carried ''advocating (?only male, human?) homosexuality''. . .)

- but there was a *nudge* just a little while ago;

''*excellent*'' - to the first;

and ''alas, yes,'' to the second;

yr hmbl srppnt. wonders how much the availability of the simple, almost completely effortless ''emojivaluation'' on fb contributed to livejournal's almost turtle eclipse. . .

I'm still here, although I'm mostly just cross-posting from Dreamwidth, out of nostalgia.

yr hmbl srppnt. never dreamwoad,

though i did try looking at the site;

a couple of close friends' being on fb, plus the restrictions upon yr hmbl srppnt.'s various mental abilities decided me on what is now all-too often aptly renamed ''farcebook'';

- though nothing truly replaces, nor adequately compensates for the effective loss of, alt.fan.pratchett. . .

The first time I ever heard of FaceSpace, I swore I'd never have anything to do with it. Besides, I had a really old computer at the time, and FB routinely crashed it.

At least on DW I can usually interact with my friends, and it's possible for me to post pictures of the cakes I bake and decorate. (Although the cake pictures usually get cross-posted to LJ as well, although I don't think people can comment on them on LJ.)

*nods* - don't think yr hmbl srppnt. was able to make much of fb before getting my first tablettything - the dos browser, arachne, was good for quite a while, and fine here for lj through the sale & introduction of advertising (in whichever order they occurred), but then the exodus fleeing tsar vlad-the-impaler poutine I's homophobic strictures. . .

(i s'spect he's about anti everyone, and everything, in the lgbt.. spectrum now, specially with any rock content or accompaniment. . .)
