Roger 3rd round victory

VICTORY!

Roger makes it through his 3rd round match with Serra. Of course, it took him two f*cking tie breaks to do it. Whatever, Fed*. Even the commentators remarked that Roger looked bored out on the court.

The good news... BONUS RAFA. Rafa was spotted sitting in the stands, watching his boyfriend combatition.

I don't know if it is just me but I found Roger very tired. And I even wonder if he has the envy to play. Indian Wells and Miami are known to not be in his prorities.

I couldn't believe he went up break point (several times!) and still had to go through a tie break for each set.

Well, it's not like he has to worry about anyone overtaking his #1 for quite some time. Maybe it was a rough night with the twins. Or maybe, once he found out Rafa was there, he started having performance anxiety. XD

I didn't watch the match, due to jet lag I can't. But I think as these two master 1000 are like a transition, it is the end of the season on hard court so I think for Roger they are less important and he wants to focus only on the slams. But maybe not, it is only my opinion. ^^

I think he just wanted some match rythm. Couldn't practice due to rain earlier in the day. Roger is known not to waist too much energy in those first rounds. He showed what he was capable of doing with some really awesome shots and raised his game only when it was needed. I guess he's very carefully not to hurt his body in those first rounds and who can blame him when he has a clay court season ahead where a lot of points has to be defended.

I think Rafa being there made Roger nervous. I get a feeling that if there are any problems with the twins, Mirka takes care of them. Can't remember where I read it, but I thought he said that Mirka was the one who got up in the night to take care of them. Don't quote me, however. ;-)

I was watching the match and almost couldn't believe my eyes when they showed Rafi was there. Radiant as I' ve never seen him before. I read somewhere that Rafa was also present during the first match of Roger in Miami and that Roger was watching Rafa's match vs Nalbaldian. Pity, no pics of those two latter events.
Well, they have to celebrate something, don't they ? After all, it was in the Miami final 2004 that they first played each other.
Yes, I can feel it already ! We're heading for a great Fedal year :)

If there are any pictures of Rafa at Roger's first match or Roger at Rafa/Nalbandian, fedal fangirl will find them. She is the goddess of finding fedal pics! :D
