Answers to the King William's College Quiz are out. Keir and I scored some 140 or so in the end. It's interesting - I never seem to manage to get into it till after Christmas. Partly it's the stupefying effect of Christmas itself, partly it's not having the Net and my books to hand to start researching properly. But mainly, it needs someone ( Read more... )

Are they nuts? That test is seriously impossible!!! Or is it just impossible for a dense Colonial?

The school traditionally made the kids sit it unseen before christmas. Then they'd have the school holiday to go home and research it in their parents' libraries (can you tell this is a fee-paying school?), then they'd come back and take it again in January and be amazed at how much they had learned. the average score for students the first time is three.
