Ah! How that reminds me of my one semester full of Olld English Battle Poems...

I needed the course which was offered, but as I was the only applicant, Dr. Fritz Kemmler offered to hold the course on the one condition that I had to prepare an oral report each and every week - replacing a whole course full of people, so it would be a discussion duo, instead of a monologue on his side. Lots and lots of work... but fun. Including Brunanburgh.

I think I prefer the orginal to that of the poet - a tad more belicose...
