We started our new college Bible study last night. It was fun. I think I am going to get a lot out of this study that we are doing. We are reading this book on our identity and I honestly thought I would hate it because it uses the Message version of the Bible which I have some serious issues with, but this book is great

but then really, it begs the question of are you more stressed when you're busy or when you're not?

In all honesty, I don't know. I wasn't stressed freshman year, just adjusting to not being busy on top of living on my own for the first time and not knowing anyone. I am not sure if that is what stressed me out and throwing myself into everything was a way of dealing with that loneliness...

On the topic of the Message...yeah, I definitely have issues with it, too. :P But I have come to realize that it can be really useful in bringing the Bible to life -- I just make sure to use it WITH another, more accurate translation, ya know? Anyway, yeah...I think I put a lot of my identity on WHO I associate with, as well as what I do. But it does really come down to always feeling the need to be busy -- only in my case I'd always take socializing over working, lol. But yeah...who am I when you take away all the people I root my whole being in? Shoot...what's the book called? Haha! Anyway...I think I spend more time with LJ Heather than roommate Heather lol! Sadness.
