Bastet, I'm sorry I haven't shown up at the Hatchery. I'm still on the farm with Apple and Lix. It's holding up pretty well against the zombies.

I haven't seen very many people since this started. Is everyone okay?

[She looks up at the touch and manages a weary smile back. It's not faked either, somehow. Maybe because Lix hasn't seemed afraid or upset since this began, maybe because she remembers doing and saying the exact same thing in her first memory.]

Yeah... I'm all right. I'm just trying to make sure all of my friends are, too.

I'm very glad to hear it. We have valuable ideas, it's putting them to practice that is proving the more difficult part. These tools were not designed with war in mind.
