Ah, haven't been up there yet what with all the moving stairs and all. I may have to give it a visit on my next trip in. Sounds pleasant. :) I'm surprised more people haven't become lost in this very living wilderness. Though, that would be quite a shame now wouldn't it? :)

Oh, I'm sure the Adventurers will be able to help anyone out who gets lost.

[Having seen his behavior elsewhere she doesn't like him much now. Sorry Snake.]

That is one of our duties, of course. One should be sure to never go in alone as I know you must be well aware. Terrible things could still be lurking around. Poor Captain Locket did have quite a spell it seems when she went inside. :)

[Thankfully he doesn't care too much about what people think of him.]

I'm being very careful. :)

Astronomy Tower, huh? Was their any equipment there along the lines of telescopes?

No badgers here. I ended up with a lion. Can't say I mind, though.

There are a few on the floor, yes! And they work really well for seeing distances. Want me to bring one back for you?

I was considering checking it out myself, but I may not get around to it. If you brought one back, it'd be appreciated.

No problem! I'll get a couple in case one fits you better than the other.

Just so nothing in the Astronomy Tower tries to eat people. A book in the library has teeth.

Have you encountered that one, as well? It is a harmless creature, really.

Harmless, yes, except to the now-shredded end of my scarf.

I admit that for a book, it's distinctly unhappy about being read.

I haven't been, but the more I hear of it, the more interesting it sounds.

You should come see it! It really is astonishing, strange as it is.

Might you be available to go down with? As astonishing as the place seems to be, I don't fancy being lost down there.

Oh yes, definitely! Just give me a few minutes to find the elevator again--I tagged along with another group.

[Peach doesn't like the tower. She scouted it out and made herself look down, several times, then made some excuse and sat down for a while.] It's a nice enough view.

These black robes make me feel like I'm pretending to be a mage. I like the scarf, though. Mine's red and gold. [Tortallan page colors.]

It looks like a university. Those are classrooms, maybe for mages. The place is odd enough for them.

[Aw, Peach.]

Oh, a university? I guess that would make sense... I never would have expected one to be so huge, though.

That's one function, anyway. Since it's a palace, it probably has several. No one I've spoken to has found anything like a court's room, but this place is such a rat's warren that I'm not surprised.

So you're familiar with places like this? I haven't found much that I would expect in a castle--the basement's got classrooms in it too.

Though the moving staircases make it a little tricky to go in a straight line while exploring. Rat's warren is a good word for it.
