[This entry starts off with some doodled lines that soon enough are connected into a drawing of a stout, rather fortress-like castle, although it's not a very neat drawing and there are no stick figures on or around it. It's done more subconciously than the last time Cara drew in the journals... just a natural thing for her to make out of the ( Read more... )

I think it's a fine idea, Cara--perhaps you could grow herbs for seasoning in a vegetable garden? Though those might be better suited for windowboxes.

I have never seen nor heard of a weaponized bell, though, I am sorry to say.

I can always do both! I'm not really so good of a cook though.

Ah well. I'm sure I'll figure it out... it seems familiar to me.

Well, perhaps experimenting with herbs could help?

Familiar? How so?

I'll have to give it a shot. Do you know much about cooking?

And I'm not really sure... I'm not sure if the bell is really the thing meant to be used as a weapon or [argh, memory fails] It's very strange. But it does have an effect when I ring it at things.

A bell? As a weapon? Who thought that one up?

[Yeah, he's a dick and laughing at you, Cara. :|;; He thinks it's hysterical.]

[Whatever man a bell is included in the Twelve Legendary Weapons :| ]

That's a silly question to ask an amnesiac.

Not if you were the one who thought it up.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't me, nope. It just seems familiar.

[Have a Navigator trying to figure out how the heck THAT would work, and she can use war fans!]

Perhaps if they were of a proper size and weight, they could be used as bludgeoning weapons, if a bit noisy. I can't think of any other way they would be of use in combat.

I'm not sure it's a bludgeoning weapon--it seems too delicate for that. Although I'm sure you could use some bells for that.

Perhaps the bells generate a sonic wave when rung, which is then used as the attack? Though I find the idea of bells as weapons odd.

A flower garden would look lovely in the park, Cara.

[tap tap.]

I just figured it was magic. What's a sonic wave? Maybe that is how it works...

It'd be something to brighten up the Sphere, even if it's only a little bit.

I am [pentap, pentap] uncertain how to explain it. Perhaps

[A pause while she gathers her thoughts]

Perhaps the bell is tuned to a certain frequency. When it is rung, the sound that is produced vibrates at such a rate that it is actually solid, or at least solid enough to hurt if it hits someone. I wonder how the vibrations are channeled into going just one direction... a very interesting weapon, in any case.

I think we could all use a little of that.

Small bells attached to a weapon, maybe... they could serve as a way to distract an opponent. But you mean a bell itself as a weapon?

Yeah, it thumped the target I rang it towards... well, it thumped the ground near it, because it's broken. But it works somehow.

So the ringing is what does damage? That's interesting. [pause as he reads Paladin's comments] It does sound like some sort of magical ability. Where did you get this bell?

I found it in the Scavenger's Yard. There's all sorts of stuff down there.
