I'd never heard of this so I looked up the author. Wild Eagle's Necklace? Sounds like a must!

It might well be interesting. There's a reference to one incident in Elizabeth's past, apart from the broad-strokes of her background, but she's shown to be adventurous and capable as well as good in this book.
