It's an exciting day here at Casa MyLastName: Today I remembered to buy toothpaste! I've been dying my hair since I was 14 because of the grey. It's a hard thing.

I've been trying to get comfortable with the idea for the past year, and nothing doing! But I'm going for it, now, and since I made the decision, ALL I see in the mirror are these gray hairs.

From the pictures you've posted, you have beautiful hair, so your comment means a lot. The fact that it looks so healthy and pretty makes me feel a little more confident about coloring my hair, since one of the reasons I've shied away from it is that I fear potential damage to my hair from the dying process.

The thing to remember is, that if you are just addng color, your hair might actually end up better. I know that before I started dying, my hair was so limp because it didn't have the extra lift. So adding color won't daage the hair, it's only if you are doing lots of bleaching that you have to worry.

Thank you for the support re: my hair! I have been stressing over it. I'm sure you'll get a full report on here once it's done.

I am definitely lucky to have such a right-on Nana, as you put it. :) She's a keeper.

Good luck with the job sitch, btw. I've been reading your posts but am terrible about commenting - I'm thinking good thoughts for you.
