Is it possible that Legally Blonde is even better than I remembered? Totally possible. The fact that it is being accompanied by brownies (they are in the oven now; I just ate a bunch of batter while watching the movie, sheer heaven) could be the reason for its unanticipated extreme awesomeness ( Read more... )

I think you should remind your brother that he totally owes you for the car bra debacle.

You totally reminded me that I had Legally Blonde lying around, waiting to be watched. And oh my god, you're right, it is completely possible that it's better than you remembered, because it is so much better than I remembered.

Also, now I'm craving brownies, too.

I very much recommend the brownies. I've eaten a quarter of the pan already. Mmmmm...brownies...

Isn't Legally Blonde awesome? It's not just the idea of the movie, but the execution - there are all of these tiny, hilarious moments. Like Elle's orientation group at Harvard Law - each one of the actors in the circle has perfect timing, and then RW totally nails her part at the end. I kept the second airing of the movie airing after the first one ended because I enjoyed it so much.

Go Elle!

I had a housemate who used to make the Trader Joe's brownies whenever she was stressed. I miss her.

Legally Blonde was seriously fantastic. It's definitely because of the cast as a whole (and the direction, by implication) - they're just spot-on.

Jacob Junior is suffering nobly and struggling with his mixed identity. I want romance, dammit!

Same here. And also, it was v. disappointing that all Christian Kane did was work on the railroad WITHOUT EVEN TAKING HIS SHIRT OFF.

Dude, I KNOW! That was so totally wrong! And now I'm afraid that was the last we'll see of CK, and not only was he never shirtless, he never got a cheesy romance either (unless you squint at the friendship with Ensign Harry Kim [from ST:Voyager, which I watched religiously back in The Day. I swear to God, it's like they asked for one representative from each of my favorite TV shows from the past 15 years).

Anyway, really, can't they give us a little romance? A little sugar with the harsh medicine that is the near-total-slaughter of an indigenous population? Clara and her Non-Biological Cousin just isn't enough. I need more! Is that SO MUCH to ask??

Dude, it's quite possible that you are Not Cut Out For Housesitting. Maybe next time you should just say no?

OMG, you are totally channeling LJAGU. That's what he's been saying the whole time! He's probably right. I know I shouldn't, but every time someone asks, I just can't resist the money.
