Thanks, dude! And yes, every day I seem to find myself more and more sure that my father's initial reaction to hearing that I'd been placed with this law firm ("Oh yeah, they're evil") was correct. Evil lawyers! And not even in a fun laden-with-special-effects way, like Wolfram and Hart. :)

yeah, I always get semi-monthly and bi-monthly confused, and I've especially psyched myself out on them because I remembered that it's counter-intuitive, but now I think my intuition has changed about them, so I always get them wrong. But I guess semi-monthly is twice a month, and bi-monthlyl is every other month. Er, I think.

The point is, your boss sucks. But you are fun!

And I, myself, am always late, and think it's an egregious character flaw as well, but I just! I just can't get my act together. I think it's because the one area of my life in which I am optimistic is how long it will take me to put myself together.

I know!! Isn't it an awful thing? I mean, it's always so STRESSFUL and I hate it but I still can't change! I don't think I'll ever fully understand it but you're totally right, the drastically overly-optimistic estimates of how long it will take me to get ready are definitely at the root of it. Ditto with driving time -- it's ridiculous! Okay, so *one time* I made it to work in sixteen minutes. Now I assume that that's how long it will take me, even though almost every other morning it takes between twenty and twenty-five -- and isn't this riveting? The point is: I need to get my act together!

Friday: I'm so glad you were able to come to my birthday dinner! It was so fun, and no big deal to get you out of that driveway, actually it was fun! (Of course I was just directing, not doing any pushing or anything.) And you brought ice cream and lottery tickets, so that makes it all ok!

Sunday: I know I've said it before, but I LOVE YOUR FAMILY! I am serious about that adoption thing.

Monday: Grrrr to the boss attorney. Um, hello, SHE didn't know what it meant!

Hey, I didn't know there even was a difference between bi-monthly and semi-monthly. That woman is a complete bitch, and her time will come.
