Yuletide!

This year I said I wasn't going to do Yuletide unless I won my grudge match with that dumb story I've been trying to finish for like two years, and then I didn't finish the story but I signed up for Yuletide anyway because I have no integrity. Probably for the best; that grudge-match story really isn't worth the trouble (BUT I STILL WANT TO FINISH ( Read more... )

Code Name Verity!! That book destroyed me in such an awesome way that I had to immediately turn back to page one and reread to see it all come together.

Also, I totally miss WENN. Most years, I liveblog the Christmas episode on Facebook. It's already on the schedule for December this year. *g*

ME TOO!!! on Code Name Verity. I was destroyed by that book; I spent most of the last few chapters eager to see how the author was going to reveal the big trick that would prove That Thing hadn't really happened - BUT IT REALLY HAPPENED. I sat there after reading the last page for a long while just gobsmacked.

I miss WENN too! I wish it would come out on DVD or start streaming on Netflix, I haven't seen the show in years and years. I really miss it!

Are you doing Yuletide this year?

I know!! I was reading it the week that my cousin was visiting, so I was sitting on the floor, frantically reading while he and my idiot uncle playing video games behind me. I was so sucked in, I felt like I was there! Every bit of it was just amazing.

I know, AMC really screwed up with it. :( Biz and I are pretty sure they tossed the masters, because there's no other reason for not getting a tiny bit of money from it at this point. It even fits with their Mad Men retro theme. I have the DVDs someone in fandom burned, and someone else did put them all up as downloadable video files and mp4s for iPods. Have you see those?

No Yuletide for me. I considered it, but there are so few fandoms I feel like writing these days. Jennie signed up, though, so I think I will write a story or two with her in solidarity, hee. Maybe a WENN, maybe a Glee, we'll see.
