Summary: Four times Tyra Collette kissed Jason Street.

( They're playing spin the bottle and it's so stupid that Tyra almost can't believe it's happening, but then she remembers that it's Melissa Crandall's party, and Melissa has always been kind of lame, but in a sweet way, which is why Tyra put a ten instead of a five dollar bill into her birthday card. The reason she came had nothing to do with Melissa at all: it's Sunday, it's hot, and Melissa has a pool. )

Unrelated, but I've been meaning to comment earlier but have been running around trying to get stuff done: I'm sorry you're having such a rotten day. You are awesome. I love this show. Why it isn't getting the kind of hype it so richly deserves is beyond me. Thanks for writing this. I love Jason and liked the scene between him and Tyra at the hospital. A little revenge hook up is so in the future for these two.

I can't figure out why everyone in the world isn't watching Friday Night Lights - it's that awesome. Jason and Tyra are two of my favorite characters, and I'm hoping for a little revenge hook up or something in the future, too!

This was just fantastic. I love seeing Tyra show up in fic and you did a fantastic job here. I think the scenario works perfectly and I can just see the give and take between them. I still hold out hope for Jason and Lyla, but this would be fine by me too...thanks!

Thank you for the comment! The great thing about FNL for me is that all of the characters are wonderful, so I can buy so many different permutations of them. I like the Jason/Lyla connection a lot, though I also love the Tim/Lyla vibe (and, clearly, the potential Jason/Tyra vibe as well).
