Actually, ff.net does increase word count for things like bolding, italics, etc. I once had a longer piece say it was 1k longer on ffn because of all the italics it had. So yes, FFN isn't really a reliable factor in word count for that reason. :)

Yep! I've noticed that too. For some reason, editing a story in ff.net's doc manager bumps up the word count even more. This fic's a legit 500 words, though ;D

Yup. I was just verifying in case anyone challenged the word count (which I don't think they would, but just sayin' I've run into the same thing helps.)
