I'm staying on 2 days later, by accident of travel arrangement complications. (I usually don't mind a few extra days to explore a place on my own. But Bangalore isn't really a good place for that.) Just curious on the animal thing... high disease risk?

fleas, rabies, other parasites, and I'm also extremely allergic to cats, especially those I've not become acclimated to. I've not had cat contact in a while so it'll be worse still.

Makes sense. I assumed that was the case re the disease, I wasn't aware of the allergies. Good thing I didn't invite you & K over for dinner when you were here a few months ago, the house is overrun with them.

I Wikipediaed Bangalore and was surprised to find it has TWO "sister cities" in the US... San Francisco and Cleavland Ohio. Kind of an odd pairing. :)

Yeah, definitely don't pet stray animals! I was stupid and took in a stray puppy (he was so cute) but while "playing" it broke skin on my hand and I had to get Rabies shots - the ones that go directly in your stomach!

I wish I could suggest more things to do! It's just been too long. There's a zoo in Mysore if you're so inclined :/

but as of today I have no transport access. The car hire's not available anymore. So I'm limited to in-town stuff I can get to via rikshaw. bummer
