Feral Parrots in Our Garden!

Last week I looked down from our deck and saw large bright green and red colors flashing in our yard. Two (probably a mating pair) of beautiful Red-Masked Parakeets pigging out on one of the bird feeders.

Are you sure they're not red capped Conures?

That seems awfully big for Keets and there is a huge flock of Conures there. They can be very friendly if you have food and sit rather still. ;-}

They can also be incredibly noisy!

Whatever they are, they're lovely. We have a flock or two of wild parrots here that live in a park, there are various kinds of birds, but a preponderance of Conures as they can take the climate.
