The one thing I have heard is that it is the rare show that depicts the actual amount of blood that spreads everywhere when someone is shot or stabbed.
Oh yes. Nowhere near enough blood, especially for head wounds and GSW/stabbings that involve vascular injury. The main culprit, though, is car accidents. 90% of the accidents you see on TV or in movies would be fatal or result in SEVERE injuries that could be fatal without immediate medical attention. It is very rare that people walk away unscathed from car accidents that occur at speeds higher than 30 mph, and equally rare when they're not wearing a seatbelt. Head on collisions and t-bone type accidents at speed are near guarantees of some kind of injury. And people almost ALWAYS break legs when hit by cars. It's just physics. The force has to come out somewhere, and it's usually the tibia. Sometimes the pelvis, depending on the height of the car and angle of impact.
I've got lots of stories.
All that said, the human body and brain are pretty amazing, and it's good to be back.
