Even if I've been silent, I've been stalking following your life via FB to check up how you're doing. For one, I am SOsososo glad you are out of that hellhole apartment. I think you should consider taking legal action anyway. Or at least filing a formal complaint?

I am so, SO excited for your LBB. It'll be an epic event. Like opening up a box of gourmet Valentine's Day chocolates. Decadent for sure

I will likely file a complaint with the city once I get my deposit back. I'm sure nothing will be done since it's after the fact, but at least there will be something on the record if anyone else ever comes forward with an issue. However, who knows what will happen. As one of the gas company guys said, you don't know what people are willing to live with to keep a cheap roof over their heads.

Your story was sublimely funny. You definitely achieved that level of absurdity I remember you talking about early on. It makes Lucius look totally ridiculous, and let's face it, he is...but to him, it's a very serious matter! It's such a good window into the way regular people act over silly things. Really well done...smart, witty, insightful, and overall just a delight to read.

Let's hope my LBB does as well. :)

Yeah, he's a total waste. It's sad because it is a nice building in a great location and he's letting it go to seed - his own investment! People are dumb.

As for the inheritor of my apartment, well...she'll find out soon enough. I was very civilized about the whole thing. Let's hope she's not.
