I liked DH - some minor quibbles, but overall, it gets two thumbs up!

A dishwasher is a marvelous thing.

I am in agreement about DH. Pleasantly surprised and impressed. :) And I really cannot WAIT to have a dishwasher again.

I'm happy they didn't screw it up. In some ways, film lends itself to the quiet, dragging parts of the book where they're in the forest a little better because they can just have a few minutes of vast landscapes to cover what was a few hundred pages. Overall, I think it was handled well.

Oh, lord, my kingdom for a dishwasher. It's been torture without one.

What kills me is people who wash their dishes by hand and THEN put them in the dishwasher! My sister's husband does this. I'm like THAT IS THE POINT OF THE DISHWASHER YOU NUT! Wacky people.

Getting rid of the tv is also a bit of strategy on my part. I need to become more disciplined about writing and hopefully start to craft some original stories, and without tv there as an easy distraction, I'll be more inclined to head to the computer to write.

Thanks for the well wishes! I'm excited to move.

Congrats on the new home. It sounds like it is in a very interesting area...one that would be fun to walk around in. And massive congrats on the dishwasher and central air!!

I go to see DH tomorrow too! The only person I know who has said anything bad about DH is my daughter...but she likes Twilight, hasn't read DH and I'm still not real sure why she went to the midnight show!
(She's also a teenager who knows *mom* likes it so...)

*squees with continued excitement*
yeah, I take her opinion with a salt shaker rather than a "grain of"...

I think this movie was a lot more grown-up than the previous ones. Twilight never really grows out of its fantasy bubble into the grittier parts of human nature, as HP does in the end.

I'm excited for the new apartment. I will finally, finally have a place where my living room and bedroom are NOT facing a busy road where buses and firetrucks are constantly going by. Living in the city you get used to it, but I will be very happy to not have to hear that every moment of the day.

I had to laugh at your Fresh Prince reference because just today my daughter was pretending to be a DJ and asked her if she thought she was DJ Jazzy Jeff. She looked at me like I had three heads and said, "WHO?" I couldn't help but laugh.

Good luck with the new place, and congrats on the new dishwasher. New appliances are awesome. =)

It's so scary that Fresh Prince is now on Nick at Nite. When I was younger, Nick at Nite was the Dick van Dyke Show and Mary Tyler Moore and Get Smart and I Dream of Jeannie. HOW is Fresh Prince Nick at Nite material?! It kills me.

Mind, your daughter probably doesn't know what Saved by the Bell is, either. Such deprived children.
