i'm an only child and i have a good relationship w/ my parents esp w/ my mom like i can tell her almost anything and she won't be mean/insensitive about it. my dad is great too but he's p closed off when it comes to his emotions so it's not as easy to discuss certain things w/ him

i have a lorelai/rory relationship w my mom except i'm not a rory.. and my dad is there ..and i have two brothers

i love my mom and she's my favorite person on this earth but we're not close if that makes sense
there's a lot of things she does not know about me and we've never had that relationship
i also love my dad but he frustrates me so much sometimes
i feel like my brother and i are kind of distant because there's a 4 year difference between us and we're pm opposites but i think we kind of bonded over last summer when it was just us trying to handle the house when my mom was in the hospital
there's also my grandma who is almost 90 and she seems v unhappy and bored with everything rn and idk how to get her out of her funk
