I also have some artwork all but finished which you could use as a 'real' task to do whilst boning up on this new CAD.

I'll shunt you through some pathwork shortly.

What is your best import path ? .ai .dxf .dwg ?

Native .ai files seem to be the least mangled on import in the stuff I've used.
